# SynthIDDetector.org > SynthIDDetector.org is a free web tool that checks an image for three signals — a Google-signed Content Credentials (C2PA) manifest, AI-generation metadata fields, and a pixel-level AI scan — and tells you whether the file likely came from Google AI. It does not and cannot read the SynthID watermark itself; only Google's own detector can do that. SynthIDDetector.org is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or Google DeepMind. SynthID is a trademark of Google LLC. ## Docs - [Agent index](https://synthiddetector.org/agents/index.md): site map and reading order for agents - [Product facts](https://synthiddetector.org/agents/product.md): what the tool checks, honest capability boundary, privacy - [Pricing facts](https://synthiddetector.org/agents/pricing.md): free checks vs sign-in AI scans - [Full reference](https://synthiddetector.org/llms-full.txt): extended description of signals, coverage and limits ## Pages - [Home / Detector](https://synthiddetector.org/): drop an image, read its credentials and metadata, run a pixel-level AI scan - [AI Image Detector](https://synthiddetector.org/ai-image-detector): pixel-level AI scan that ignores stripped metadata — works on screenshots and re-uploads - [Gemini & Nano Banana Image Detector](https://synthiddetector.org/gemini-image-detector): check for the signals Google embeds in Gemini image output - [C2PA Checker](https://synthiddetector.org/c2pa-checker): read Content Credentials (signer, app, actions, validation) free, in the browser - [What is SynthID?](https://synthiddetector.org/what-is-synthid): guide to Google's invisible AI watermark — coverage, limits, sources - [Pricing](https://synthiddetector.org/pricing): plans and credits for AI scans ## Key facts - Free check (no account): Content Credentials (C2PA) read and AI-metadata fields read, both done in the browser. - Sign-in check (credits): pixel-level AI scan that keeps working after screenshots or social re-uploads strip metadata. - When signals point to Google AI, the tool links to Google's official SynthID Detector (https://synthid.com) to confirm the watermark. - "Nothing found" never means "real" — stripped files produce empty results. - Available in 10 languages: English, 简体中文, Русский, Deutsch, Français, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Português, Türkçe. ## Contact - support@synthiddetector.org
